Church League Matchday three Monday nights only mean one thing Church league Ni our featured game this week comes from Hillsborough between Boca Seniors and Chequers Slovakia. Boca Seniors were back action this week hoping to move back top of the table their opponents without a win so far this campaign , A special occasion for two of Bocas players in the shape of Aaron Noble and Darren Marshall as they came back to face their old team and Manager Neville Gibson. Eight Ocloak came with Boca getting started under the lights but they got off to a very slow start with Chequers nearly going ahead when a loose pass saw Thomas Martin strike just wide of Josh Buntings left hand post. Aaron Noble and Adam McDowell linked up perfectly to send Boca ahead as McDowells flick set up Noble to smash into the net it was written in the stars that he would score against his former employers. Noble then repaid the favour as he played in McDowell to slide the ball into the net past the onrushing keeper to the delight of the Boca fans all around the ground. Jonathan Rice was taking over caretaker role as Manager as Danny Roberts is in Liverpool on work commitments this week and it was his instructions that seemed to liven up the firepower of the Boca attack. Chequers pounced like a tiger searching down its prey and got into the game on sixteen minutes as Martins shot beat Bunting with a powerful effort. This spurred Chequers on you wouldnt have thought this was team without a win all season they levelled almost Immediately as Bunting could only palm a stinging drive onto the foot of an advancing attacker to the frustration of the young keeper. Boca responded though with the two inform stars of Noble and McDowell in the frame of the action again after Buntings long throw found the back heel of Noble the ball falling to McDowell to hit a thunderous drive into the net this goal seemed harsh on Chequers after working their way back into the game. On the stroke of half time Boca were four to the good when Noble ran like a cheetah to leave the visitors defence stranded he whipped his shot into the net the man coming back to haunt the team he just left. Half Time Boca Seniors 4-2 Chequers Slovakia This game was Spicy all over the pitch with player battles being played from Goalkeepers to attackers you may call this another Church League Derby the way it panned out. Noble then had a hat trick as he tucked a away a delightful chipped pass from Darren Marshall the two former Chequers players linking up to break their former teams hearts. Although it was Five three moments later after Martin swung in a beautiful cross for the advancing attacker to head into the net to restore hope in the chequers team. This game turned somewhat sour as an accidental challenge saw Andrew McMordie have to leave the pitch with a serious head injury I would like to wish Andy well and hope to see him back in a Boca kit as soon as possible. The game whoever continued with Chequers pulling a goal back the injury seeming to shock Boca when Martins powerful strike was once again superbly saved by Bunting only for the follow up to be turned into the empty net. Drama was to follow this was just like watching Coronation Street when Martin picked the ball up on halfway and sliced open the boca defence like a Knife through Butter the ball falling to Gibson to prod home to level the scores up. Josh Bunting then made a superb reaction save to deny Martin with some of the fans starting to chant David De Gea after his heroics the previous day against Everton. The atmosphere was electric with the Boca fans signing Allez Allez oh Boca Seniors Fc Jonathan Rices Blue Army or Were having a party at the top of the league. Boca went ahead when Bunting throw saw McDowell see of his marker to get one on one he finished expertly to the delight of the Boca players after a hard worked shift all over the park. Six then became seven as the most dreamed about Tag team in the league at the moment linked up when Mcdowell played in Noble to wrap his foot around the ball to smash into the net. The scoring was complete as Chequers pulled one back when a deflected strike beat the outstretched Bunting in the home goal but the points were safe with Boca. Full time Boca Seniors 7-6 Chequers Slovakia Here what Boca keeper Bunting had to say after the match Im delighted weve got the victory when youve got arguably the best strikeforce in the league you can afford to concede a few goals , Credit must to go to Chequers they put in a superb performance and made us work so hard. I thought we were very slow out of the blocks but once we got that first goal we settled ourselves down and played some fantastic football I think we play fabulous football but similar to Arsenal over do it at times witch is frustrating at times but like I say very happy to win.
