Claim Gods Promises Behold, the LORD thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged. Deuteronomy 1:21 The book of Deuteronomy contains Moses last words to the Children of Israel before he died on the mountain. He tells them that they have wandered in the wilderness long enough, forty years, and God has said, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount: (Deuteronomy 1:6) Moses reminds them of their journey out of Egypt, through the wilderness, and encourages them to trust God to lead them into the Promised Land. Last January I began our devotions on Precious Promises From Gods Word and went for 100 days looking at 100 promises that God gives His children. As we begin our look at Things We Can Do From Deuteronomy we begin with claiming Gods promises. Sometimes we get to a point in our lives when we seem to wander around in the wilderness, not getting anywhere because we are not trusting God and going forward in our Christian lives. The Children of Israel were afraid to face the battles between them and the Promised Land. Once they started trusting God they realized that He would fight their battles for them. Think about the battles in your own life. Search Gods Word and find a promise that you can claim and let God lead you to the land that flows with milk and honey.
