Clann Eireann 3-5 Trojans The Trojans got there first points of the season and in doing so moved off the bottom of the table with an excellent 5-3 win over Hosts Clann Eireann. With Both teams playing well recently even though the results havent went their way they were both confident of getting a result in this match and it was the visitors who struck first as Rab Lewis had a 129 and 3x100s as he won his game 2-0 against Neil McCluskey. Michael Scullion needed to be in fine form hitting 2x140s, 121 and 100 to get past Stuart Matchett (140,100) by 2 legs to 1 . Despite Shay Rutherford hitting a maximum 180 and a 140 it wasnt enough as Nathan Mccabe had 2x140s a 121 and a 100 also as he won 2-1 to put Clann Eireann in front by two games to one. David Vaughan Jr impressive form of late continued as he had a 177 and a 22 dart leg to beat Mark Magee (2x100s) 2-1 to level the tie and it was from here were the Trojans won the match as they reeled off a further 3 games in a row firstly with Tony Rutherford (2x100) beating Johnny McAtamney (100) 2-0 and then Paul lewis (2x120,100 ) beating Joe Mccabe 2-1 which was quickly followed by Davy Vaughan sn getting past Kevin Oloan 2-0 to secure the victory and move them ahead of Clann Eireann in the table . The last game of the night seen Ciaran Magee hit a 140 as he beat Brian Devine 2-0 to leave the final score Clann Eireann 3-5 Trojans.
