Classic American rock... live from Beacon Theater in NYC (a venue the band has played many times over the last 30-40 years.) This 2003 incarnation of the band was the third lineup, or reunion, of the iconic Allman Brothers Band, and one of the best. With the addition of Derek Trucks, drummer Butch Trucks son, on guitar replacing original member Dicky Betts, the return of guitarist Warren Haynes to the fold, and Gregg Allman in fine vocal form, this band was as good as ever. *Side note: The Allman Brothers Band played their last show ever a few days ago (Oct 28, 2014) at the Beacon. They left a lot of great music in their wake.
