Cold Weather Precautions from DPW and CampbellCrossingLLC The forecast calls for below freezing temperatures for the U.S. Army Fort Campbell area through Jan. 11. The Directorate of Public Works requests that all facility occupants perform an inspection of their facilities and take corrective actions in advance of these cold temperatures to insure that water and plumbing systems do not freeze. Insure exterior doors and windows are shut and the heat is working. Open cabinet doors beneath sinks to allow warm air to circulate around piping. Check access doors to crawl spaces beneath facilities to ensure they are closed. If there is no option available to cover these access points, please call in a work request to the DPW at (270) 798-1200 so DPW personnel have the opportunity to correct this. After these cold temperatures subside, please take notice for any plumbing leaks that appear and call in a work order for repairs though the Regular Work order number (270) 798-1200. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated and will allow the DPW to better support your facilities. Campbell Crossing asks that residents please remove water hoses from outdoor spigots. Open kitchen and cabinet doors and laundry room doors; especially during the nights when temperatures are to dip into single digits. Keep your garage door closed, especially when no vehicles are inside. If you have further questions, please contact your community office.
