Comcast would never pull WWE Pay Per View events. Comcast is the parent company of NBC Universal. The partnership is very important for the troubled NBC network as the cable channels are in the black while the network business is in the red. WWE is one of the primary reasons USA Network and SyFy have the viewership numbers they have so Comcast would not risk alienating WWE by pulling PPVs especially during upcoming TV rights negotiations for WWE programming. Secondly, PPV as a whole is dying due to the internet. People who do not have a fast enough internet connection in rural areas for example will still purchase the PPV events. Comcast realizes that any buys are better than no buys. At the end of the day, InDemand is the PPV distributor for all the major cable companies (Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox, etc) as the cable companies merely provide channels for the PPV distributor and split the revenues. No cable company is going to pull WWE PPVs. Satellite has a different business model so they can do it but the cable companies are merely a vessel for the PPV distributor.
