Coming soon the book: AUSTIN THE MASTER OF INTERPRESSIONISM ( Here some extractions ) ABOUT THE INTERPRESSIONISM MOVEMENT We strongly believe the Interpressionism movement is on the way of becoming one of the most creative ideas of this century and future yet to come. This new trend of expression teaches each and every one of us (especially the artist) how to learn to close our eyes and let go off the “déjà vu” or the routine. Interpressionism as a philosophy wants us to return to our childlike mentality to find the source of our artistic creativity, i.e.: our originality, and our inner-self. The foundation of this artistic movement is based on the innocence of thinking that you find generally in the art work of any 2 and 5 years old child. Who with no guidance, or without following any master discipline and technique, created some tremendous master pieces wherever their innocent hands can reach. For example, let’s us consider the walls of a house, they are full of drawings from your children; you can also see some extraordinaire design signatures on your important documents. They even interpression some tremendous master pieces on your new furniture, or your antiques, and so forth. If you take time to observe their expression of innocence you will find that each one of their master pieces are original and authentic and they expressed creativity within the inner self of each individual child. It is this originality of expression I want to refer you in my interpressionism movement. Thus, one can also say by looking at the works of different masters in plastic art (painters), sculpture, music, dance, poetry, philosophy, photography, etc., one can find the originality of expression that is consistent in the work of those masters. Sure that, I cannot agree more with those people. This is the reason I made those two approaches the center and guideline of my interpressionism movement. Talking about masters, let us take a moment to pay our respects to some of the founding fathers. We are talking about masters such as Sophroniscus, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Demosthenes, etc. from the first century BC whom their works embellished our repertoire with millions of fascinating pieces. We also want to refer to the works of those masters from the pre- classical, classical, and the renaissance periods such as: Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsky,Bach, Shakespeare. Also authors like la Fontaine, Rousseau, Molière, Voltaire, Miguel de Cervantes, Descartes, Nietzsche etc., or the embellished works of those masters of the impressionism and expressionism movements such as Monet, Renoir, Manet, Van Goth, Dali, Emmanuel, Picasso, Pollock, the Cobra school, etc.. Finally, we cannot forget the works of those masters from this modern age such as Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Maya Angelou, Nelson Mandela, Frank Lloyd, Jean M. Basquiat, etc. Although different each one in their own style, we can realized the originality, the uniqueness, and the creativity in the body expression of their work. We can honestly say: “Their works are pure, innocent and breathe taking, often provocative, rebellious, mesmerizing and comforting.” Why? Each one of those people expressed a certain revolution from within in their work that took your breath away, because of the originality of expression. It is this imaginary bridge that separates the artist from the talented ones. One of the aspects of the interpressionism movement consists in educating people to pursue their self-expression, their inner self, their authenticity, and their happiness even from struggle. This could be explained by this state of mind: “Thinking outside the box”. This expression wants us to free ourselves from the traditional way of thinking in order to deliver ourselves from the “déjà vu” and the routine practice. Socrates once said: “everything is a product of illusion of the reality.” He was absolutely right. Plato in the “Republic” took some time to explain the meaning of Socrates statement. For Plato, this statement is the true essence of philosophy. So, why this subject is important for our interpressionism movement? To understand the importance of my concept: “Freeing our mind from “the déjà vu” or from the “routine practice” we need to back in history 10,000 years and reconnected ourselves with some important evens, especially during the transformation period of our mentality from the one of “Homo Erectus” to “Homo Sapiens”. At the time we (human beings) were still leaving in the archaic age of innocence. We were all artists (artisans) who created our own tools of survivor and we stake together inside the great cave. Unfortunately, when our intellectual emancipation begun to take shape, we never took time to separate ourselves from the old adages and we become alienated to the routine practices. It took us 600 centuries to understand the concept of family and to discover the concept of “thinking outside the box” that was quasi- inexistent during the early stage of our emancipation. This concept “thinking outside the box” is still today a challenge to understand by most of us. I can imagine why it does take human beings 3 to 5 millenniums to finally understand the importance of this state of mind. When the philosophers from the first era BC questioned the fundamental of man and understood his purpose of existence in this universe. They were amused to discover and to understand that “Dream from within is the essence of creativity and that make it possible for progress to incur.” What lesson we learned from those researches? “Dream and illusion are interconnected and they constitute the basic and the foundation of our imagination.” In other words, dream is the capability of man to penetrate his subconscious mind to discover the true meaning of life. ”Thinking outside the box”, or “escape from the cave” this is what interpression is all about. Interpressionism.net Today Austin dedicates must of his time travel all over the world promoting his interpressionism movement. During the past two years, his agenda was full of invitations from many national and international organizations that want him to be the guest speaker at their social events. Furthermore, Sir Austin understands the importance and the role play by the school and university in our lives this is the reason he give education a priority on his activities. From time to time Austin offers some solo art exhibitions, and auctioned some paintings from his collections. When ask him: Why his artwork is not exhibited on a museum or on a well-known gallery? His answer was always philosophical and starts: Back in the day people asked the same question Monet, Renoir, Rousseau, Manet, Dali, Picasso, to Pollock, etc, before they broken the ”ice ceiling”, or to Matisse or Jean Michel Basquiat before the body of their works has been accepted, and many more. Above all, is Van Goth who never sold any of his paintings during his life time and 50 years later after his death one of his famous paintings “The yellow Flower” was sold for 70 million US dollars to an art collector in Japan. “Patience is virtue.” The real pearl needs be polished by the time before it shall shine to the world and recognized for who it really is.” So, what is my legacy? The “IMTERPRESSIONISM is. This is my contribution to the world and one day humanity will notice the importance of this vibrant and necessary new trend of expression the interpressionism is. To read more about Sir Austin and the INTERPRESSIONISM movement, please visit this online gallery: interpressionism.net. We need to understand that any new idea comes with its own challenges, if not, is own and unique controversy. This also constitutes the birth storm of knowledge. After visiting this site, if you like what you see, if this vision makes sense to you (even with its imperfections and its ambiguities) I want to invite you to become a witness of the interpressionism movement. I welcome you, your family and friends to take part of this great conversation. Share your ideas with us and with our group. We never believe the interpressionism movement is the property of one man. It’s belongs to all of us. I was lucky enough to see the vision and be able to build the foundation of this new trend of expression. We need all of you to help us promote the Interpressionism movement. Also remember name recognition is very important. To understand why I try to express when I said “Name recognition” let’s take these examples. First example: The body of work of these artists Monet, Renoir, Manet, Van Goth, Salvatore Dali, Matisse, Picasso, etc., and the contributions of many historians, sculptors, dancers, philosophers were very important and gave shape to the impressionism movement. It is the same for the expressionism movement. Because without the work of Pollock, or the CoBra Art from European, or New York school of art in the early 40’s and the contributions of many artists, historians, sculptors, dancers, philosophers the Expressionism movement will never being possible. Today the Interpressionism movement is offer to you as the new challenge. It’s up to you all to make it the next genial idea of this century. Daniel Austin, interpressionist Founding father of interpressionism movement
