Commentary by Jerry Because of the life I’ve led and the experiences I’ve had during that lifetime I could write a book about the differences in our leadership between the 1960s and 2014. Oh of course I was alive before the 1960s but it wasn’t until the 1960s that I started paying attention to political leadership and that took place because of the murder of President John Kennedy. And later on after my U.S. navy time I became a California deputy sheriff and in that role I learned a great deal about human behavior. And then after being assigned to head up the intelligence bureau, I learned firsthand what the term “house of mirrors,” really means. What I did not learn in that time was how easy it is to mislead millions of citizens with artful and designing tactics. For instance I would never have thought that nearly 50% of the American public could have ever been rather easily misled to their peril by an individual such as Barack Obama. You see if the average citizen has not caught on to what’s really happening by now then we are in very serious trouble. I really don’t believe that the average citizen realizes that every word spoken by a politician has been reviewed for content and purpose beforehand. A politician does not ever say what is really on his or her mind. A politician says only that which will enable him or her to manipulate others. That is why my friends, I often refer to politicians as a bunch of useless, lying bastards! Another thing I learned in all the time was that politicians do not go to Washington, DC or a state capitol to represent the people in their district. They go there to represent themselves and collect a fat paycheck backed up with a strong retirement program, free medical and another lifelong paycheck when they retire. They call these people “lawmakers.” Why do we want them to make new laws when we have so many laws on the books now we don’t even know what they are. There should be a rule that says for every new law they pass they should get rid of two old laws. Frankly my friends I’m fed up with all their damn rules and regulations. They can take all their new laws, all their regulations and all their rules and stick them where the sun don’t shine. And finally, we did not elect these idiots to be our mothers and fathers.
