Community Meetings – every 3 months - all directors will report to the community - financial reports from director of finance and directors - principals will report on their schools with stats and many other areas - councillors will provide update reports on their portfolios Economic Development - we need to develop our own economy - bring jobs to the community - ongoing training on specialized trades - use revenues for housing, recreation, emergency funds and other areas not funded - target the young people with jobs and training - contribute to the overall community development - social problems will be lifted with more people working Elders - it is time to built a new home for our elders that are still independent the old building can be renovated as well - it is part of our culture that our elders are to be taken care of and i strongly believe and practise this custom Youth - i will make sure that this group gets a voice in our community, region, province, PAGC, FSIN, and chief and council in areas of training, jobs, education, and many other areas of concern - the Youth will have 100% of my support with any positive endeavour they pursue Education - education must be honoured by the Crown as it is one of the treaty promises - we need to develop our education Act to counter the standardizes education legislation be proposed by Canada - i will support and respect the decisions being recommend by the school committee - we need to initiate Oral teachings in Cree in our schools to revive our language Health (we all know that health is waiting for us on the land) - i will work closely with the Health committee to develop and deliver health and wellness programs and services that are based on the use of land - i will strive in getting a full-time doctor and traditional healers in our community Minor Sports - i will invest my time in assisting the recreation director or a specialized coordinator to work with our youth in achieving the highest level in their chosen sport Emergency Funds - use the bands co-op equity to top up this fund - use the rebate from gas and fuel sales - use casino dollars to top up this fund with these sources of revenue the emergency funds can be budgeted on a yearly bases to ensure that there is money there
