You’ve been selected to move on to the next round of The Source Magazine’s Unsigned Hype Competition, to be held at this years first SOURCE360 in the Downtown Brooklyn Cultural District. For nearly 25 years, Unsigned Hype has given notoriety to Hip-Hop’s most influential unsigned artists, and we are excited for you to be part of this great tradition. As a participant of the Unsigned Hype Competition you will have the chance to join the likes of Notorious B.I.G, Eminem, Mobb Deep and many other Hip-Hop influencers. The Unsigned Hype Competition was stiff this year considering the competition had hundreds of participants that were carefully analyzed and reviewed by our Source Magazine staff, but we were impressed by your witty lyrics and ability to captivate the audience. We are confident that your performance in the next round will be enjoyed by those in attendance. If you accept this offer, you must notify us by the evening of September 12, 2014, by emailing us at unsignedhype360@thesource. The next round of our competition will be held at Roulette Intermedium on September 19, 2014 at 7pm sharp. You must arrive at the venue on September 19, 2014 by 5:15pm for sound check and performance rehearsal. The cost of travel, lodging, and ground transportation must be paid by you, the participant. As this event is co-sponsored by Coors Light, we need to insure you are 21 years or older. It is necessary that you provide proof of your date of birth via email prior to your arrival on September 19, 2014. Two original songs and instrumental(s) must be submitted in an MP3 format along with the lyrics to the two original songs by 8PM September 5, 2014 or you will automatically be disqualified. It is imperative that these instructions are followed precisely as we wish to create an historic experience. Your cooperation is essential.
