Congratulations to Compton’s new City Councilman Isaac Galvan, the city’s first Latino councilman to serve this wonderful community. Councilman-elect Galvan, the grandson of Mexican immigrants, won the support of voters and proved that Compton is a city of progress and inclusiveness. This historic election carries a special significance of diversity and democracy at their finest. I look forward to working with Councilman Galvan in strengthening and improving the lives of the families, who live, work, and play in the Compton community.
