Connecticuts first bout of accumulating (though minor) snow for the season to occur tonight. Snow squalls ahead of an advancing cold front late tonight will lead to some minor accumulation. Some areas may see a mixture of rain and snow and see no accumulation at all. Here is the accumulation breakdown: Litchfield County and Hills: Slushy 0.5-1 Western Hartford County: Slushy 0.3-0.5 Coastal CT: Little to no accumulation Southeastern CT: Light dusting to 0.1 Quiet Corner (Northeast CT): Slushy 0.1-0.3 While some towns (especially those in the hills) may see temperatures dip below freezing, keep in mind that the ground temperature may not have yet. Any accumulation likely will not stick around very long with daytime surface heating. Regardless, plan your Tuesday morning commute accordingly.
