Conspiracy Theorist Conspiracy Theorist - A term invented by the CIA in the 1960s and adopted by the mainstream media to discredit anyone who opposes the narrative. By throwing out this term they attempt to isolate you as a nut, but they never address what facts and evidence you present as long as you oppose their message. Its simply a cop out used by people to ignore and discredit anything that challenges their way of thinking, or perceived reality.
