Constructive Act #152 - REACH OUT TO REHAB AND RECOVERY - On October 8th, 2014, we will deliver our second Symposium - The Continuum of Care at Marietta High School from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. This event will be fantastic as we will be hosting a REHAB AND RECOVERY FAIR. It will be run like a college or job fair with comparative information, literature to hand out, drug kits, test stix and Narcan prescriptions. You dont want to miss this event. It will be every bit as awesome as the first one with even more giveaways and powerful testimony. The event is open for all Rehab and Recovery facilities; we are neither discriminating nor endorsing any facilities, just exposing and allowing them marketing privileges. Help make this event AWESOME by handing out the invitation letter to ANY and ALL Rehab and Recovery facilities. Thanks for your help! Fell free to copy and paste the letter - OR share this post on your own page. Thanks for all that you do..... August 15, 2014 Dear Recovery Vendor: On October 8th, 2014, the Davis Direction Foundation along with Marietta High School (MHS) in Cobb County GA, will be hosting our second Symposium in a series of four, on the topic of the “Continuum of Care” for opiate/heroin addiction. We are excited to announce that we will also be hosting a Recovery Fair in the lobby of the Marietta Performing Arts Building at MHS. It will be run in the same fashion as a college or job fair. Each vendor will be provided with table space to share their services in the area of opiate/heroin addiction. Please understand that we are specifically dealing with opiate/heroin addiction due to the rising number of deaths and overdoses in our community and the nation. Please do not reserve table space unless you have a service to offer regarding this particular addiction. You are invited to enter through the lobby doors beginning at 5:00 pm to set up and prepare to talk with our Symposium guests. We would ask that you bring as many hands-on resources as possible to share with parents and family members dealing with addicted loved ones. It is very intimidating to purchase these items in stores without any prior knowledge of which brand or what information you expect to receive from the purchase of the item. We would like for parents to see up to date information, drug tests, stress toys, yoga balls, herbal and all natural products that help an addict in recovery. Anything and everything that you think would educate the loved one of an addict is what we would like to share at our Recovery Fair. Please come equipped with information about your facility, or practice so that parents and loved ones can leave with a comparison of facilities in order to choose the best resource of Recovery for their addict. Handouts and brochures would be wonderful. We know that all the information will be overwhelming for our guests, so the more information they can leave with, the better. Please contact the Davis Direction Foundation at: Davisdirectionfoundation@gmail in order to reserve space at our Recovery Fair. We are hoping for an audience of 600 – 700 people. We are welcoming Rehab facilities from all over the nation due to the fact that often times families like to send their addicts far from home in order to get the best possible care in the best possible setting. Sending an addict far from home often reduces the “flight factor” from the facility. We are asking for a donation in keeping with your financial ability as opposed to charging a fee to participate. Please let us know no later than October 1st if you are planning to participate in our October 8th Recovery Fair. We will have your table ready and waiting for you. Thank you, Missy Owen – Davis Direction Foundation
