Continue without stopping Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead CONTINUED TO SPREAD THE WORD. Many people, because they HEARD that he had given this miraculous sign,went out to meet him. John 17-18. Whenever great things happen the news is spread rapidly. In todays scripture reference the word of how the Lord raised Lazarus spread so swiftly and wide. The bible says many people went out to meet Jesus because they had heard about him. The Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus the miracle worker and Lazarus (the miracle) because the sign was indisputable.( everything had happened in the eyes of many people) and people were speaking freely. If one is to have a wedding reception and they neglect inviting people, I am sure no one will attend. If they choose to invite a few close people we call that a private function but unlike such a private function, the kingdom of heaven is not private but is for the greeks,Jews, Africans, Americans, weak, strong etc: its for everyone everywhere. I am sure that if we continue to spread the good news of Jesus Christ many more people will enter the Kingdom of God. I remember one other men who was healed of leprosy ; he was told not to tell anyone but instead he went out and to spread the news freely. (Mark 1v 44-45) This men was so blessed and he could not hide what God had done for him. David would say I will not die but live for the purpose of proclaiming your glory. We as believers are to continue spreading the word and do it cheerfully for we have the greatest news since the fall of Adam.
