Continuing to catch up with films trailered on the Video Nasties 2 release with HEADLESS EYES, a 1971 serial killer flick that unquestionably provides a authentic grindhouse experience yet isnt necessarily a trashy film; in fact, I think it probably takes itself as seriously as such a film could. The music score is pretty interesting, at times sounding like Seven Songs era 23 Skidoo though alas theres probably zero chance of ever being a soundtrack release, and indeed the film still hasnt even found its way onto DVD...it can be viewed on YouTube, which may well be the same VHS source that I watched. While Im probably not as enamoured with it as Stephen Thrower, I pretty much agree with all he says in his intro which encouraged me to check it out...you may wish to do so as well.
