Contrary to popular modern doctrine the Christian life is not a classroom where we learn formulas to become better people, or good or righteous or even victorious, the true Christian calling is a laying down of your own pride and self striving and a journey were we only learn why we should become less and less dependent on ourselves and fully dependent on Christ who is our very life... Jesus told us apart from me you can do nothing john 15:5 dont believe it? try letting go of His hand and see if you dont end up right back where He found you in bondage to that which you were born in by the flesh, we are only as secure as our umbilical cord to Christ Jesus.
