Convicted of animal cruelty and sentenced to 90 days in jail !! Elizabeth Lewis was charged earlier this year after her dog, Bruiser, was found emaciated and lethargic near her apartment. Authorities said the dog was in such poor condition that it had to be euthanized. Lewis told WLWT News 5 that she tried to care for the dog but it refused to it. Lewis pleaded no contest Tuesday and a judge found her guilty. Protesters gathered outside the courthouse for a prior court appearance by Lewis, who was allowed to get Bruiser back by a judge after she was previously accused of animal cruelty in a case last year.
