Cops are supposed to deescalate situations. Also Im sick of them trying to tell people that driving is a privilege not a right. I have the right to move freely about the United States with either my own two feet or behind the wheel of a car. If I pay taxes for that road to be built or maintained then I have a right to drive on it. I think the only way a right can be stripped from anyone is through a trial with a jury of your peers.
