Cops nab carnapper, recover 6 stolen MCs Published : Thursday, June 27, 2013 00:00 Written by : Manny Balbin ANGAT, Bulacan -- An alleged carnapper was arrested by the local police for possession of a stolen motorcycle in Bgy. Santa Cruz, here, Monday, Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Joel Sabio Orduña said yesterday. Orduña identified the arrested suspect as Rowell Cruz, 21, single, municipal employee, of 7 Bliss, Bgy. Poblacion, Norzagaray town. Investigators said that prior to the arrest of the suspect, a confidential agent informed Angat police that a stolen motorcycle would be sold somewhere in the town for Php15,000. The confidential asset and the suspect exchange text messages regarding the transaction and a personnel of Angat police acting as a poseur buyer went to Bgy. Sta. Cruz to buy the stolen vehicle. Half an hour later, the suspect arrived on board a violet motorcycle and the asset introduced the poseur buyer to the suspect. When the marked money was handed to the suspect, the poseur buyer and the asset arrested him. Further investigation disclosed that the suspect admitted that the motorcycle he was trying to sell was stolen in Pampanga. Police also recovered five unlicensed motorcycles in Angat and Norzagaray towns. The six recovered motorcycles were placed under the custody of the Angat police.
