*Corny Harry Potter post incoming* . . . 7 years ago today, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final HP book, was released to the world and it signaled the beginning of the end of an such a wonderful era. To this day, nothing has been able to capture my attention and imagination like those books did, an I doubt anything else ever will. It truly did more for me than anything could. I know thats an awful clichè but I never knew how to respect literature until it had taken me on the wildest journey ever. I remember getting a set of the books all the way up to The Half-Blood Prince (newest book at the time) on my 11th birthday, and I would read them, over and over, to the point I could recite every spell, every creature, and quote entire pages. It was my first addiction. I could go on and on, but I dont know if I can actually express how much that whole era meant to me. And to see it end was the most bittersweet thing. But its one thing I can for sure say Im happy to have been a part of. Blah, these sorta moments turn me into the biggest dork. Oh well. The world could use more dork in it.
