Cottingley - Theft from Motor Vehicles Overnight between Sunday 4th August and Monday 5th August, a number of vehicles were broken in to on The Ghyll and Cottingley Drive, Cottingley. All vehicles were reported as being locked and secure, and there was no damage caused to the vehicles by the suspects whilst gaining entry to the vehicles. Amounts of cash were removed from the vehicles by the suspects. Residents are urged to be vigilant and ensure that all vehicles and homes are locked and secured, alarms are set, any additional security available is used (i.e. steering locks) and that all valuables are removed from vehicles before the vehicle is left unattended. Please also ensure that any visible marks on your windscreen from a satellite navigation system are removed prior to leaving your vehicle unattended.
