Could someone here post photos of what a properly trimmed and shod draft foot should look like. I have finally found a young farrier here that is willing to try to trim and shoe my horse correctly, but he is struggling to understand and believe what I tell him. He went to the school by Seattle where they teach them to cut all the heel off, not trim the frog, and leave the toe incredibly long, then recess the shoe almost 1/2 inch behind the edge of the foot so the toe hangs over the shoe. I have explained to him that this does not work. My horse needs to be stood up straighter as among other things he sources on pavement has borium on draft shoes and you simply can not never trim the frog with the idea that it must touch the ground at all times. These two photos are what we are trying to correct that a previous farrier did while I was busy with another.
