Could we all spare a thought for the lives lost in racing this - TopicsExpress

Could we all spare a thought for the lives lost in racing this week. To make matters worse, 19 year old Caitlin Forrest lost her life yesterday in a sickening fall in South Australia. The day before to lose Carly-Mae Pye in Rockhampton. And another young life lost in the United States, with 17 year old Juan Saez killed. Its such a dangerous sport, but one in which all horse people love. Please keep all these in your thoughts. It had gotten me thinking about when Picnic In The Park broke down hopelessly, nearly coming down as well. He managed to stay upright, and perhaps spared his jockey Chris Smith a similar fate, as he was leading. Both lived to tell the tale. To all the jockeys out there, you have my utmost respect for what you do for your profession. Stay safe and may the racing community look after the people left behind.
