VISIONS editor Carole Gieseke and Jim Heemstra Photographer met Jackie Jackson 08 on their trip to Alabama. Jackie has a remarkable connection with George Washington Carver: She did her undergrad and masters at Tuskegee University before coming to ISU for her PhD. Then she returned to Tuskegee, where shes doing research on two of Carvers most famous plants: sweet potato and peanut. Jim and Carole also visited the Carver museum while they were on campus.
