Couple of clips from my AMRAP sets from yesterday. Training to failure has its benefits, maximising muscle fibre recruitment, and metabolite production leading to increased strength and growth. However it is incredibly taxing on the body so must be used sparingly. Im currently using it once per week in my current 4 week training cycle, following 3x8 in Squat, Bench and Deadlift. It also gives a good idea if the weight you are using is effective, as you shouldnt be able to do too many more reps than the previous set. #training #failure #powerlifting #strength #hypertrophy
