Cyber bullying case study A young American teenager, Ryan Halligan was bullied and cyber bullied by his classmates. His friends spread rumours of him being gay and frequently sent him nasty messages on instant messaging services. At the same time the girl he had a crush on befriended him just to obtain his personal information. In addition, she shared their personal online conversations with other classmates to humiliate him further. Unable to handle the stress, he committed suicide and he was only 13.
