DAILY INSPIRATION! 9-30-2013 THE WILL OF GOD (PART 12) FAMILY INHERITANCES AND BLESSINGS: 1.Protection. “14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. 15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken…..But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. (Psalms 37:14-15,39-40) Praise be unto God that He is with us, even when WE ON OUR OWN CHIOCE walk in the valley of the shadow of death, He will never fail us, not forsake us! Don’t be confessing to valley experiences, as if God sends you through them! Because in (Psalms 23) it makes it clear it is SELF IMPOSED for some reason, and you should be asking God where you’re missing it and STOP BLAMING GOD!!! IN REALITY we have the victory at all times, but we at times fail to accept it and walk in it. It IS NOT God’s fault, but our own, out of fear and doubt over the revealed truth of His Word! It is not of faith at all, when you confess to fear, and doubt, or worse yet, fail to see that it is so in your life, even when you don’t confess, yet you are acting on it! He gives very good reasons why we should not fret at all. Because of the honorable character of those who stand in God’s righteousness. Because of the destruction and ruin which the wicked are nigh and the salvation and protection which the righteous are sure of from all the malicious designs of the wicked. Because of the goodness and mercy God has in store for all good people and the favor He shows us. “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” (Psalms 40:1-3) At times we need some powerful Holy Ghost retrospect in our lives, remembering how He has always been with us, and has always delivered us from one horrible pit after another, and realize He is, and He always will! HE IS, AND WAS, AND IS TO COME!!! He has always set our feet on the solid rock of His Word, so again, He never fails, nor forsakes us. We only fail to see that He hasn’t, and whose fault is that? And again, STOP BLAMING GOD for the valley experiences you chose to go into and you need to humbly ask Him where YOU’RE MISSING IT, AND ACCEPT YOUR OWN BLAME!!! Notice the great distress and trouble that David had been in. He had been plunged into a horrible pit and into miry clay (v. 2), out of which he could not work himself, and in which he found himself sinking yet further. He says nothing here either of the sickness of his body or the insults of his enemies, and therefore we have reason to think it was some inward disquiet and perplexity of spirit that was now his greatest grievance. Despondency of spirit under the sense of God’s withdrawings, and prevailing doubts and fears about the eternal state, are indeed a horrible pit and miry clay, and have been so to many a dear child of God. David’s humble attendance upon God and his believing expectations from him in those depths: I waited patiently for the Lord, (v. 1). Waiting, I waited. He expected relief from no other than from God; the same hand that heals, and bind up our wounds, or it will never be done. From God he expected relief, and he was big with expectation, not doubting it would come. There is power enough in God to help the weakest, and grace enough in God to help, of all his people that trust in him. But he waited patiently, which intimates that the relief did not always come quickly; yet he doubted not but it would come, and resolved to continue believing, and hoping, and praying, till it did come. We must follow hi humble example. Those whose expectation is from God may wait with assurance, but must wait with patience. Now this is very applicable to Christ. His agony, both in the garden and on the cross, was the same continued, and it was a horrible pit and miry clay. Then was his soul troubled and exceedingly sorrowful; but then he prayed, “Father, glorify Thy Name; Father, save Me; then He kept hold of His relation to His Father, "My God, My God,’’ and thus waited patiently for Him. His comfortable experience of God’s goodness to Him in his distress, which he records for the honor of God and his own and others’ encouragement. God always answered his prayers: He inclined unto me and heard my cry. Those that wait patiently for God, though they may wait long, do not wait in vain. Our Lord Jesus was heard. “In the days of His flesh [Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted but needed] and supplications with strong crying and tears to Him Who was [always] able to save Him [out] from death, and He was heard because of His reverence toward God [His godly fear, His piety, in that He shrank from the horrors of separation from the bright presence of the Father].” (Hebrews 5:7; AMPLIFIED). Nay, he was sure that the Father heard him always. He silenced his fears, and stilled the tumult of his spirits, and gave him a settled peace of conscience (v. 2): "He brought me up out of that horrible pit of despondency and despair, scattered the clouds, and shone brightly upon my soul, with the assurances of his favour; and not only so, but set my feet upon a rock and established my goings.’’ Those that have been under the prevalence of a religious lethargy, and by the grace of God have been relieved, may apply this very feelingly to themselves; they are brought up out of a horrible pit. God’s mercy is completed by the setting of their feet upon a rock, where they find firm footing, are as much elevated with the hopes of heaven as they were before cast down with fears of any kind and most certainly fear of damnation. Christ is the Rock on which our souls may stand fast, and on whose meditation alone between us and God we can build any solid hopes or satisfaction. It is continued in the establishment of their goings. Where God has given a steadfast hope he expects there should be a steady regular conversation; and, if that be the blessed fruit of it, we have reason to acknowledge, with abundance of thankfulness, the riches and power of His grace. He filled him with joy, as well as peace, in believing: "He has put a new song in my mouth; He has given me cause to rejoice and a heart to rejoice.’’ He was brought, as it were, into a new world, and that filled his mouth with a new song, even praise to our God; for to His praise and glory must all our songs be sung. Fresh mercies, especially such as we never before received, call for new songs. This is applicable to our Lord Jesus in His reception to paradise, His resurrection from the grave, and his exaltation to the joy and glory set before Him; He was brought out of the horrible pit, set upon a rock, and had a new song put into His mouth. Then good improvement that should be made of this instance of God’s goodness to David. David’s experience would be an encouragement to many to hope in God, and, for that end, he leaves it here upon record: Many shall see, and fear, and trust in the Lord. They shall fear the Lord and His justice, which brought David, and the Son of David, into that horrible pit, and shall say, If this be done to the green tree, what shall be done to the dry? They shall fear the Lord and His goodness, in filling the mouth of David, and the Son of David, with new songs of joy and praise. There is a holy reverent fear of God, which is not only consistent with, but the foundation of, our hope in Him. They shall not fear Him and shun Him, but fear Him and trust in Him in their greatest straits, not doubting but to find Him as able and ready to help as David did in his distress. God’s dealings with our Lord Jesus are our great encouragement to trust in God; when it pleased the Lord to bruise him, and put Him to grief for our sins, He demanded our debt from Him; and when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at his own right hand, He made it that He had accepted the payment He made and was satisfied with it; and what greater encouragement can we have to fear and worship God and to trust in Him? Thank You Jesus!!! All glory unto God alone!!! You are blessed and Jesus is Lord over every area of your Life!!! "That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." (Philemon 1:6) So I decree my faith! AND I SHOUT IT OUT LIKE THUNDER! "I have received Jesus as Lord of my life and am in a right-standing with God! Because I study and meditate in His Word day and night, I know the difference between doubt and faith! I am what God’s Word say I am, I have what God’s Word says I have, and I can do what God’s Word says I can do! I follow the voice of my Good Shepherd revealed through His Word; the voice of a stranger I will not follow! God’s Word is forever settled in heaven and on earth! It does not change, but it accomplishes what God intends it to, and prospers in the thing He sent it to do in my life! God’s Word has never failed, nor will it ever fail and I walk in the light of His Word. I can do all things through Christ Who gives me strength! I have no sin-consciousness and I have no desire to sin! For my will is God’s will for my life! It is God Who is at work in me, giving me His willingness and ability to do of His good pleasure, satisfaction, and delight!!! So I don’t even entertain any thought that I will fail Him in any way!!! For He keeps me from failure! This doesn’t mean I have already attained, but I forget what is behind me, and all of my past, and I reach forth unto the things that are before me, and I press on toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus; and if in any way I be otherwise minded, I know God will reveal it unto me! I do not dwell on anything satan may say, because I live in God’s Word and His Word lives in me. I know that satan has no power over me at all, so I reject his deception and lies and I only receive God’s Word and His blessings for me, RIGHT NOW!!! I maintain my right-standing with God and receive His Word of Righteousness and operate successfully in His Righteousness in me! I send forth blessings to ALL who curse me, without any exceptions, for I am blessed to bless! The Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ keeps satan from being able to touch me! I decree things and they are established unto me, and God’s light shines upon my ways, for I reign as a King in life through Jesus Christ! So, I’m the head, and not the tail; I’m above only, and not beneath; I’m a success and not a failure! I’m clothed with God’s Shekinah glory! Not one thing that I do, do I do on my own, it is all by Grace and not of my works, but God’s workings in my life! In all things I give God all the glory! I am blessed and Jesus is Lord over every area of my life!!!
