DATING AND COURTSHIP IN ISLAM. HOW DO WE FIND THE RIGHT PARTNER??? PART 9 All Praises is due to Allah, the most High, the Most Merciful. Choose of partner is one of the serious choice which should be taken as a concern since it is choosing of marriage partner and not choosing of girlfriend/boyfriend. Below are steps to follow to find the right partner: 1. A muslim should always pray to Allah to grant Him/her a good partner even before he/ is ready for marriage. He/she should seek the guidance of Allah through prayers and Patience. A person can do all his/her finding but the final decision is from Allah. It is said Man proposes and Allah disposes and it is true with finding a partner when you pray then Allah would intervene. 2. In searching of a partner goes in two scenarios: 1. This is where family enquire, discuss and consult other families to narrow down the potential prospects which is done by careful observation. 2. The second scenario is where potential prospects meet each other in the field of work or in various places and are there for the Sacred matrimony. 3. Remember in choosing of a partner the Prophet was reported by Abu Hurayrah which the Prophet said: (A woman is married as a wife for her Wealth, beauty, family status, or Deen but choose a religious woman if you want to prosper). So dont be blinded by beauty and lust but go for the Deen as said by the Prophet (SAW). 4. Remember also that a woman should make it her major goal to get a good husband and base on that the Prophet (SAW) said: (When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied ask to marry your daughter, comply with his request if you do not do so, there will be a corruption and great evil on earth). So it is better we seek for partners who are good moral and not solely looking at money and fame. May Allah guide us in choosing of a partner and aid us in all our affairs. Aameen.
