***DEAL of the day*** (6.99-->0.99) S.E.E. is a very well done app to teach emotions to children. It uses high quality and accurate photographs of real children as a teaching aid, and has four levels of complexity. In the beginning level, there are two sections. One simply identifies the emotion that goes with each photograph, and the other asks the child to choose between two pictures to identify the stated emotion. The intermediate level has three activities--framing the emotion by dragging the appropriate picture to a frame on the screen, a yes/no option for identifying the emotion shown in the photo, and a matching game where the user connects pictures to words in sets of three. In the Advanced level there are two activities--spinning a virtual wheel for a photo, then scrolling through to find the matching emotion, and a multiple choice that gives three possible emotions for each picture listed. The really great part of this app, though, is the Expert level. It shows a picture of an emotion, then asks the user to mirror that emotion and photograph it. This allows the user to see their face showing the same emotion alongside the original picture.
