“DECEITFULNESS” I’d like to begin by saying that I count it a privilege to serve the Lord that saved me in any fashion, whether it be silently with my demeanor, verbally when with people or here at my keyboard where I’m free to speak my heart. I especially love this site because it allows us to be taught and to teach as the Lord allows. The word deceit is used in many forms throughout the Word of God, through this Word the Lord teaches us of 1st. of rightly dividing His Word for ourselves so that we do not fall into the hands of satan himself, it also teaches us to use this gift of discernment whenever we listen to man as he brings forth doctrines of devils that lead to many falling away from the truth of God’s Word. Three subjects that are satan’ favorites in leading many astray are the trinity, the rapture and once saved always saved, these 3 have caused more confusion, dissention and division amongst the children of God, many churches are guilty of leading many astray because of these topics and man, either knowingly or unknowingly, have fallen into the snares of the illumined one because they do not study to show their selves approved. The apostle Paul said it very aptly in his second letter to the Thessalonians with these words “And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness”. It’s one thing for the world to have closed eyes and ears concerning the truth of God yet it’s another thing for the children of God to be deceived by satan and his handpicked disciples. Jesus himself said “For there shall rise false christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders, inso much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect”. We, the children of God are the very elect, it is entirely up to us whether we shall believe man or the truth of His Word, if it were possible.
