DELTA GUBER 2015: SENATOR DR IFEANYI OKOWA WILL NOT SUCCUMB TO CHEAP BLACKMAIL-VINCENT JUDE OSHIAGWU Trusting in the God of our fathers and the confidence that our course is just , senator Ifeanyi Okowa will not bow or surrender to the antics of mischief makers who lately has embarked on serial smear campaign spree against his(Okowa) personality. The spurious allegations designed to malign his long built and established reputation is not unconnected with his political ambition to govern Delta State come 2015. In a desperate bid to frustrate his dream, political scavengers, who see him (Okowa) as a threat , should he become the governor in 2015, have employed a mix of an open and convert negative campaigns of calumny to achieve their evil goals. This, they have done by constantly and frequently raising false alarm and today are fostering rumours everywhere. In one of their many damaging devices, these political foes known for confusion have alleged that the amiable senators aid and some gun men attacked a young man said to be a thug of another politician in the state, a statement that holds no waters and a disdain lie from the pit of hell fabricated and orchestrated to present the distinguished senator Okowa in bad light to the public. Today, the culprit has owned up as published on page 9 in the Daily Independence Newspapers of Tuesday, July1, 2014, that he was coerced to implicate the senator known across the state and beyond as a man of peace. The victim while making the confessional statement said shortly after he was coerced to lie against senator Okowa shortly after he was shot several times with a pump action gun at close range by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. According to him, his conscience wont let him be, he had to open up to the press. This is the height of wickedness and mans inhumanity to fellow man. However, all these and many other blackmails cannot deter the ever focussed senator Ifeanyi Okowa. The true fact is that the emergence and entrance of senator Arthur Okowa into the Delta guber race is a golden, heaven-sent opportunity-an opportunity to re-write our collective history. We cannot be detracted by detractors and haters of good things and allow this opportunity slip through our fingers. We must push on and ensure the right choice of Deltans senator Okowa is sworn in as governor of our dear state come May 29, 2015. Spurious allegations, character assassination, malicious rumours, unfair and untrue publications cannot stop him. To be exact, senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa will not succumb to cheap blackmails. The distinguished senator Okowa, a man of peace, has gone to court for redress, and I must assert that hes determined more than ever before to prove detractors wrong. The noble truth is that they have always been wrong. A house full of gold cannot tempt senator Okowa to do wrong and one wonder why the incessant attacks on his person, but ONE thing stands, detractors has failed again. We dont know, but we dont care why the hatred and rumour peddling and campaign of calumny, but we do know that the amiable senator Okowa is unstoppable. He remains a force and a shining light in the annals of Delta State politics. Hes passionate , pragmatic, peaceful, unassuming, resourceful, friendly, forceful ,humble, caring and generous to a fault to the envy of political rivals. Some feats they lacked. Hes got all it takes to lead. Though the senator is not surprised at the unruly antics 0f these mischief makers, theres the urgent need to go to court and stop this incessant, callous, hateful, malicious and envious serial attacks and prove detractors wrong. Truly, hes not disturbed because hes seen examples of the futility of criticisms bristling on thousands pages of history. Those who throw stones are often on the ground and behind. The Mango tree receives countless stones because its got ripe fruits-a panacea for more productivity. The Gold wont shine without passing through fire. No man can stop an idea whose time has come. If a man is kicked from behind, it shows he is in the fore front. Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is ahead of them all. ‘DEM DEY LOOKAM, HE DEY ENTER’. Hear him: I am not a violent person and I do not hate my detractors because they make me even stronger, better and smarter ,stands for peace and good governance where it can be said our poor people are happy, neither ignorance nor distress will be found among them, our jails are empty of prisoners, unemployment is nowhere, the streets are rid of beggars and thugs, the aged are not in wants, taxes are not oppressive , and the rational Deltans will be my friends because am a friend of happiness. The above quote shows the stuff senator Okowa is made of on his way to glorious triumph destined from the throne of grace. A man who will never bow to cheap lies because he stands on the rock of TRUTH. Everything about him is absolutely amazing. To all Deltans, trust, believe and have faith in God as we soar to sing our victory song at the poll Long live senator Ifeanyi Okowa Long live Delta State.
