DEMOstudio people and teachers! Check out this show at Pyramid Atlantic. Applications are due today... but I know many of you have great stuff to share. Pyramid Atlantic invites you to join our first juried art teachers gallery show, Process and Purpose: visual reflections of K-12 art teachers. 50 two-dimensional works of any medium will be accepted and 10 three-dimensional works of any medium will be accepted. We will provide participating artists with a month long gallery show, opening reception night with panel discussion, press release to all contacts including printed postcards, info will be sent out in weekly newsletter, on our blog, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram accounts. Requirements To apply you must be a K-12 art teacher currently employed in a private or public school. Original artwork must have been created in 2013 to present. 2-D works cannot be larger than 24 x 34 framed. All works on paper must be framed. All other mediums must have sufficient and professional ways to be hung on walls. 3-D artworks cannot be larger than 20 all sides. Send a note to seller that states Process and purpose. pyramidatlanticartcenter.org/art_ce…/support.html Send the following, respond via email by December 15, 2014 -3 pictures of artwork for application in JPEG or PDF format -Size of artwork -Title -Medium -Date -Price Exhibition Details Shipping Artwork Ship artwork so that it arrives at the gallery before January 10. Make sure a signature is required upon delivery. Provide us with tracking information and let us know when you are shipping your artwork. You may ship to the gallery address: Pyramid Atlantic Art Center 8230 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20910 If you are shipping framed work be sure to pack your art in a box/container suitable for return shipment. Also, please make sure that your packages are packed safely to allow for safe transit to and from the gallery. Include a prepaid return shipping label in your container so that we may ship the artwork back to you. Dropping off Artwork You may hand-deliver artwork to the gallery on Saturday, January 10 or Monday, January 12 between the hours of 10 am to 5 pm. Picking up Artwork In the event that your artwork does not sell during the exhibition, you may pick up your work on Sunday, February 15 between 5 pm and 8 pm or Monday, February 16 between 10 am to 5 pm. Artwork shipped to us with prepaid return shipment label will be sent back in mid February, 2015. Exhibition dates: January 15 to February 14 2015 Opening Reception: Saturday, January 17 from 4 pm to 7 pm, with panel discussion to follow.
