DEMYSTIFYING THE HOUSE OF MUMBI 1. The name is AGĨKŨYŨ not Kikuyu. Kikuyu is a Swahili version. The language is Gĩgĩkũyũ and the person is Mũgĩkũyũ or Mũndũ. 2. AGĩkũyũ are monotheists believing in a unique and omnipotent God whom they refer to as ‘Ngai’. 3. If they like something you cant change their mind that easily. 4. They forgive but never forget. 5. Once they trust you, youre good to go. You have their VOTE. 6. Once youre out of their trustworthy list youre done. 7. Very easy to work with but TRUST is paramount between parties. 8. Yes, they can vote for someone from another house. And after UHURU majority will vote for RUTO. 9. Not all Agĩkũyũ are thieves or grabbers, majority are very hardworking as they are taught from an early age. 10. Self dependence is taught to the boys when they reach puberty and undergo a rite of passage before joining secondary school. 11. Laziness is not entertained whatsoever. 12. Girls are taught to cook and cleaning by the age of ten. 13. Boys are taught to milk cows and other manly duties by the age of ten too. 14. Agĩkũyũ did away with retrogressive cultures and lifestyles long ago. 15. Agĩkũyũ engages only in value adding activities. Doesnt keep unproductive cattle like zebus. 16. Does not practice witchcraft or feel jealous for others 17. Values land and put it into good use for the benefit of all. And those without land hires to grow food. 18. Quick to identify opportunities and almost everyone belongs to a Sacco, Chama, Group and has a bank account to save money. 19. Agĩkũyũ are risk takers and borrow heavily to invest in productive activities or in areas that provide better opportunities. 20. Agĩkũyũ are not choosy and do not discriminate against jobs. 21. Agĩkũyũ are highly motivated and are very innovative in business. 22. Money loves Agĩkũyũ because they know how to invest it.Not vice versa 23. Agĩkũyũ do not get free loans from Equity, Family bank or the UWEZO fund. They apply like others. 24. Agĩkũyũ have bought land everywhere including Kampala, Dar, Kigali, Congo, London, Juba, California and the people their are not complaining. 25. A good Kikuyu, sorry Mũgĩkũyũ is the one alive!
