DERYL DODD’S LOVELETTERS VIDEO PREMIERES! “It’s a heart felt story of wanting your ex (Virginia) to succeed and at the same time wishing she would fail miserably and come back,” explains, Nate Kipp, writer of Loveletters. FORT WORTH, TX (August 21, 2013) Deryl Dodd has just released the single, “Loveletters,” off the RANDOM AS I AM album to radio. Deryl wanted this great song to be the star, and he knew the story had to be told visually in a video for fans to understand. Double D recruited Byron Weiss and Jason Martin, who produced the number one, “Somethin’ Ain’t Always Better Than Nothin’” video to come out to the Noisevault Studio owned by engineer, James Johnson, in Dallas one day recently to capture footage of Deryl and his band performing “Loveletters.” Deryl recruited Cody Jinks and Heather Stalling of Black Top Gypsy to come over to star as the jilted lovers. “A great song always has a way of being heard at some point,” explains Deryl, “I had other things going on when Nate first told me that he had a song that he wanted to pitch me. I didn’t take the time that evening to listen which was a mistake on my part. Luck would have it one night that I was out at Adair’s Saloon in Dallas and heard Cody Jinks singing this song about Virginia and love gone bad. The lyrics and Cody’s great singing blew me away. I asked him did he write it, and he informed me that Nate Kipp wrote it. I couldn’t get “Loveletters,” out of my mind for weeks and knew that I was going to record it. Nate wrote a great song, and I hope that my fans can relate to the story. It’s rare that a song comes along like this.” I appreciate everyone’s support.” Double D fans can hear the song on great radio stations across Texas. The video will premiere this week on YouTube and other TV outlets.
