DFAF UPDATE To all of our dedicated friends & supporters, Usually at this time of year, you would have begun to see all our info on the upcoming December Holiday event. Wanted to let everyone know that we will not be holding this annual fund raiser this year. This decision was made after much consideration of a variety of issues. For those of you who looked forward to this beautiful weekend, we are sorry for this disappointing news. As the founding member of DFAC, I want to also assure everyone that the goals of Dancing for a Cure remain the same……to find a cure for ovarian and breast cancer and to lighten the lives of those suffering from cancer. I am happy to report that dance studios Capewide will be supporting DFAC as part of their individual Nutcracker events. I am thrilled to have them join our ‘forces’ which will only make our fund raising more expansive. Studio owners, parents, and dancers alike, will be dancing for a cure! Our annual Dance Marathon will be held early Spring 2015 at Cape Cod Academy. This will be our ‘big’ fund raiser of the year. and we hope to have the same amazing support of the Cape Cod community as in the past. To date, we have raised over $265,000 which has made a significant impact on research at the Dana-Farber Institute. But that is not enough, and we must continue the fight.
