DISAPPOINTED: depressed or discouraged by the failure of ones hopes or expectations. A lot of the sadness and unhappiness children of God have is caused by a sense of disappointment, even though we cannot admit that. We pray and we have an expectation that our prayers will be answered, we fast and hope it will somehow bring the answer more urgently or bring us closer to God so he can be extra favourable. We give and plant seeds so we can see harvest. We try to be good and do good so things can be good. But somehow after all that, things still dont get right, we are still left jobless, broke, people still leave us, we still struggle, we still feel pain etc etc etc. then we are left there feeling like a child who was waiting for dad to come see him play, a date left hanging at the restaurant, someone waiting to be picked up from the airport, a bride waiting at the alter with no groom showing up... We are left feeling DISAPPOINTED!! Yes we are told now and again to wait on God, that maybe its not time, and some of the folk are made to feel guilty for the prayer, maybe you are not praying the for the right thing or a right prayer or like YOU HAVE ASKED FOR A DIFFICULT THING!! (As in Elisha) but all Im asking is for an opportunity, all i need is a job, all i need is someone to love me!!how can that be a wrong prayer or a difficult thing? you ask!! How about someone who has dedicated their lives to serving God in ministry, for years sacrificed all to serve God full time or otherwise, then they look at their present lives and think, after all that this is how my life is?? Cant i just have one break for all my dedication. And when it seems like nothing is coming right in fact things are getting worse, you left feeling DISAPPOINTED!! I can imagine Abraham without a child for years I can imagine Joseph in jail I can imagine the chosen nation of israel in Egypt for more than 400 years After being loyal to God daniel finding himself in the midst of beast, I see Hannah for years people laughing at her on the streets while she continuously go to church Im trying to think Jesus saying to God I cant do this , but i will. At the end of it all, it was not easy but it was worth the wait! God will never disappoint, He is faithful!! #R.I.O.T You shall know the truth and it will set you free!
