DISNEY/PIXARs LAVA At Pixar Headquarters they change out the art and displays to coincide with their newest blockbuster releases. When I visited last year, they had life sized cars from CARS parked at the front desk and a college theme for Monsters University. I was so excited to hear they just added a gigantic, fifteen foot painting of my character Uku, the lovable singing volcano, in the Pixar lobby to greet all the guests as they enter. I am honored to be playing the male lead and narrator parts in this new movie. The animated release, LAVA, will debut at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival this August 22, 2014. I will be attending the premiere and performing for attendees. I cant wait for the Japanese audience to see the film! Worldwide release for LAVA is set for June 19, 2015 as an opener for the Disney/Pixar film, Inside Out starring Amy Poehler. My love interest in the film is none other than Maui beauty and Kumu Hula (and my hula sister!), Napua Greig. She and I have had to keep this under wraps for almost a year now! Walt Disney Studios describes the film as, A musical love story taking place over millions of years that is inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes. You guys are gonna love it!
