DNA, il sistema di sedute modulare disegnato da Leonardo Rossano e Debora Mansur, vincitore del Good Design Award 2013, è attualmente in mostra ad Atene presso lo for European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies insieme agli altri progetti vincitori. Ispirata dalle forme dinamiche della biogenetica, la panca modulare DNA consiste in un singolo elemento in compensato di legno curvato, assemblato specularmente. Il risultato è un avvolgente elemento d’arredo dalla particolare forma ad elica, ad ogni passo della quale corrisponde una seduta opportunamente separata dalle altre. DNA, the seating system designed by Leonardo Rossano and Debora Mansur, winner of the Good Design Award 2013, is currently exhibited in Athens at the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, together with the other winning projects. Inspired by the dynamic forms of biogenetics, the modular bench DNA consists in a unique construction assembly which is created by a single section of curved plywood, that is mirrored in design to create multiple seating configurations. The result of this system, is a captivating piece of furniture, shaped after the helix form, in which each completed section creates an individual seat for the user creating comfort in a public space.
