DOMS: Delay Onset Muscular Soreness is a normal response to exercise. When you overload your muscles either with heavy resistance (weight lifting), prolonged repetitive movements (endurance training) or explosive contractions (Plyometrics) you cause micro tears in the muscle fibres. Ensuring adequate protein and carbohydrate intake along with micro nutrients, vitamins and minerals helps repair the muscles and create positive adaptation (strength, growth, stamina). This doesnt mean that every workout should leave you incapable of sitting or climbing the stairs but on those days when the DOMS catch up with you you can try foam rolling, sports massage, yoga, etc. But, I like to use this: transdermaltechnology.co.uk/index.php/refer/?uRID=48 #TeamPR
