DON’T WAIT, CONTACT RESCUE NOW TO SAVE SANDY’S LIFE!!! TONIGHT IS HER LAST NIGHT! Sandy got brought to sit in a cage at Manhattan ACC because of landlord/moving issues and three days later, ACC decided she wasn’t worth another thought and put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Her owner tells her she is leery of men and should go to a home with only women and children who she apparently lived in harmony with. We’re told that she is trained to protect the family and perhaps the incidents in the past relate to that. In her SAFER (EVALUATION), though she was very fearful and did WELL on dog on dog, the assessor decided that she’s only worthy of a New Hope Only rating. Of course, three days of being in a cage 24/7, away from her home and her family, would make most dogs fearful. But tonight, Sandy needs an experienced dog owner who understands that as a loyal family member, Sandy did what she thought would please that family. She needs someone who knows how to redirect that loyalty and let Sandy just be a dog - not a full time protector. If you’re that someone, start applying to rescues to foster or adopt Sandy.
