DRINK ME ~ McMAHONS LOOKOUT ~ WENTWORTH FALLS ~ BLUE MOUNTAINS ~ AUSTRALIA Been meaning to pop down to this lookout since I settled in Wentworth Falls over a year ago. I suppose the images I have seen on Google and from other local photographers gave me the sense that it is a one trick pony (meaning you are locked into a moderate wide vista) - but I was really surprised when I got there this evening and saw all the possibilities. A moderate 20km unsealed road then a gradual 800m 10 minute walk and voila - great views over Lake Burragorang and surrounding peaks and a drive back in the dark. Here are a few quick processes. It was also quite sad standing there as the sun went down and I thought of the community that disappeared when they built the dam and flooded Burragorang valley in the mid 1950s - all for most of Sydney to have fresh drinking water.
