DRUG ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION ARRESTS BUSINESSMAN OF KAFUE FOR BEING IN POSSESSION OF MORE THAN $160, 000 US DOLLAR COUNTERFEIT NOTES THE Drug Enforcement Commission has arrested a 39 year-old businessman of Kafue for being in possession of more than $160, 000 US Dollar counterfeit notes. DEC Public Relations Officer Ms Theresa Katongo has told Mwebantu New Media in a statement. Ms. Katongo stated that Bonewell Simbeye, 39, a businessman of Kafue has been arrested for being in possession of $167, 800 United States Dollar counterfeit notes. The suspect was apprehended in Kafue Town. Meanwhile, Ms. Katongo said the Commission has arrested and jointly charged a Teacher of Lusaka and a businessman of Livingstone for being in possession of Zambian Kwacha and US Dollar counterfeit notes. She stated that Chibuluma Bwalaya, 29, a businessman residing in Livingstone has been arrested and jointly charged with Francis Nondo, 42, a teacher of House No. C/16 Chinika area in Lusaka for being in possession of K26, 000 counterfeit notes and $400 US Dollar counterfeit notes. The duo was intercepted in the Central Business District of Lusaka. “All the three suspects will appear in court soon.” She said.
