#DUCKSFLYTOGETHER VIDEO CAMPAIGN CALL FOR GTF CONTRIBUTIONS HEAR YE, HEAR YE! GTFs, STRIKING AND SUPPORTING! WHAT: The SOJC wing of the GTFF is launching a video campaign, #DUCKSFLYTOGETHER. We’re looking for video narratives from strikers, supporters, and the like, to put a human face to the wishy-washy statistical milieu and rhetorical spin that the GTFs and UO community are having to confront from the UO Administration. HOW: Hop onto photo booth, your smartphone, your friends’ filming apparatus, etc., and shoot a short (30 seconds to 1 minute) clip addressing any and/or all of the following: [1] Why did you decide to come to the UO? What do you contribute or bring to the UO? [2] Why are you on strike? [3] Why do you need the things we’re striking for? (Paid leave, respect as employees, etc.) [4] What’re difficulties you’re experiencing because of the strike? [5] How has the Admin’s treatment of you & other GTFs made you feel about the UO? [6] Comments for the UO community at large. Email the video to UODUCKSFLYTOGETHER [at] GMAIL.COM – if the file is too big, shoot us an email there and we’ll invite you to a DropBox file you can use, or give you troubleshooting instructions. WHEN: Immediately! Though it’ll be an ongoing project, we’re hoping to launch the website TONIGHT, so the more videos we have uploaded at launch time, the better. DON’T WANT TO BE ON VIDEO? No worries! Send us a 500-1000 word narrative and a high-resolution graphic – a picture of you picketing, teaching, working, doing research, etc. Don’t want to publish a picture of yourself? Send us something else that represents your narrative OR lets us match a graphic to your text for you – just let us know! WANT TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS? Also fine! You can upload a video with only your vocals (and some snazzy imagery) OR request your written narrative be anonymous. The only people who will know who the narrative was written by is two members of the #DUCKSFLYTOGETHER campaign, and will do everything in our power to ensure your anonymity beyond that. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? As we’re all taking a break from the picket line, catching up on our term papers, take a few minutes and send us your narrative. YOU are UO, this institution works because YOU do, and it’s time YOUR participation and support on this strike is represented by YOU – NOT the administration’s deceptive statements! FINALLY! We’re reaching out to undergrads, professors, and community supporters too! Do us a HUGE favor and send them the call for contributions. Remember, we’re launching tonight!
