Of course we must discriminate-to whom it is due; and we must be prudent-when it is in the power of thine hand, Pro_3:27. Moreover, be prompt, Pro_3:28. Don’t stir up strife or take a mean advantage, Pro_3:29-30. In the presence of the prosperity of the violent and evil man, repress envy and recall Psa_37:1-40. The word translated secret in Pro_3:32 should be rendered “friendship.” See Psa_25:14. Remember that Jesus calls us into this sacred inner circle, Joh_15:15. Count on God blessing your home-life, Pro_3:33. Be lowly and claim your great inheritance, Pro_3:34-35. See Mat_5:3. We are next admitted into an ancient Hebrew home, Pro_4:1-9. We can hear the old patriarch advising his son, with deep and fond anxiety, that he should make the best of his life. What a difference would come over the land if fathers spoke more often like this!
