Daily Prayer -- taken from A PRAYER FOR TODAY ******************************************************************** Heavenly Father, When I came to faith in Christ, You made something new inside of me. It wasn’t just a few patches here and there to repair my old man that had been rebellious towards You and Your kingdom. It was a creature beyond anything I could comprehend or understand. It was, is and always will be perfect because it was born of Your Spirit. However, it lives in a body that was also home to my old nature that was crucified with Christ. My old habits, sinful mind, idiosyncrasies and ego have been like a dark cloak that hindered my new man from being reflected in me. Through the cross working in my life, I am dying to those old ways of living and thinking. The result is that I am able to reflect more and more of the Lord’s glory in my life. My old man is decreasing and Christ is increasing which makes it easier and easier to abide continually with You. I thank You for working in me to will and do of Your good pleasure. That is what I want more than anything else, no matter where it takes me. Galatians 6:15 “Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.” Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
