Daily Prayer for Wednesday, August 20 A prayer by St. Eugene DeMazenod, founder of the Missionary Oblates: “My God, seeing the difficulties to be met in the accomplishment of one’s duty, there is every reason to be discouraged and turn back. Nevertheless, the only way to go is forward. It is necessary to do so for the glory of God. Let us be courageous and trust in His grace. But in order to do so, I must, first of all, strive to become a saint.”
