The Dallas Morning News reports that the WFAA sports directors 428-word commentary in support of Michael Sam, the former University of Missouri defensive end who publicly announced that he is gay in advance of the May NFL draft., has gone viral. The speech took Hansen two minutes and 15 seconds to deliver. By Thursday afternoon, it had 1.7 million views on YouTube and was on a slew of websites front pages. By his own count, Hansen has received more than 1,000 emails from across the country and around the world.
