Dan Wu, Life, Travel & Love - a CALLOUT special Pure and Fresh. Look delicate but super strong inside. Wu Dan was a famous host and journalist at CCTV, the biggest TV station in China. But at the peak of her career, she chose to quit her job and came to NTU for a master’s degree. Her friends, fans, audiences, no one can understand her idiot decision. BUT this is the life she wants. LIKE LOVE, LIKE LIFE. 像恋爱一样生活 The video is shot by Wu Dan and her friends. THE BEST OF YOUTH. To NTU Graduation Season. Feel lost? Don’t know which way to take after graduation? Maybe her story can make you think more about your future. {Q}: How do you evaluate your previous job at CCTV? Why do you think you can be so successful and popular? {A}: I think I was lucky, doing something that I love. Every day, I’m not going to work but dating with my job. Working as a host for tourism program “Distant Home”, my concept is real heart, real feeling, real story and real emotion. I want to show you what you cannot see through my eyes and pass my feeling to you through my heart. The audience is not stupid. They can feel your heart and they can tell whether you are sincere or not. {Q}: Why did you choose to go back to school again at the peak of your career? {A}: The choice I made is not just study, but going to a totally new place, going back to the starting point, start from zero all over again. I want myself to leave impatience and quick temper behind, to leave the fear of little improvement and the fear of draining deposits bit by bit behind. And let myself to feel the every moment of everyday life, every detail and find back the ability to fall in love with travel and fall in love with life again. I will become a refreshed me, someone who love myself and love my life more. {Q}: You have graduated now, so will you go back to CCTV? {A}: It has been more than two years since I left CCTV. Till now, my friends, colleagues and fans keep leaving messages on my Weibo and Facebook, calling me back, saying that they are still waiting for me. Still, I have a deep feeling for “Distant Home”. But I refused the offer again coz I find that during this two years I grow up, but the program doesnt. I’m afraid that if I go back and find out that the job is no longer what I want, I will be disappointed. Now the “Distant Home” to me is beautiful memory, warm love. I don’t want to destroy it. {Q}: So what’s your plan for your future? {A}: I prefer to simply do something I want. I don’t want to randomly find a job that I don’t like. I’m not a person, saying “It’s not bad. It’s OK.” If I can’t manage to do what I want through others’ media platform, I will establish We Media. It’s on my agenda now. We may create a program about two girls travelling around the world. There must be a lot of difficulties, but we will overcome. {Q}: Do you have anything to say to our university students? {A}: I want to tell you guys as long as you have dream in your heart and you hold on it, you can achieve it! And one more thing is that you need to be qualified otherwise your dream can only be a dream. Thanks Dandan for your sharing! Fighting! You are the best!
