David Cameron has doubled the National Debt behind our backs. He has hiked it by 700 billion, while talking about paying down the debt. For comparison Alistair Darling bailed out the banks with a mere 85 billion. There was no need to borrow such a huge amount of money. How was the money used? What will happen with rising interest rates? Money Week predicts a massive fiscal crash. The rest of the media maintain a stony silence. The stage is now set for an unprecedented sale of state assets, irrespective of the party that wins the next general election. Whitehall must be asked to explain its astonishing profligacy. Perhaps Lord Reid thinks like so many people that Cameron is paying down the debt. Scotland on the other hand is in healthy financial position, according to the FT. If Alex Salmond wants to take responsibility for part of the UK debt, he must state clearly that Scots will not pay for the fiscal criminality of Cameron and Osborne. A Yes vote is absolutely necessary if we are to avoid the fiscal nightmare that is predicted by Money Week. The claims of Better Together are a trap because the UK Treasury is facing serious trouble.
